Scarborough, the first English seaside resort and the third most popular in the country, is gearing up for one of its most successful seasons yet. Crowds arrived in record numbers last year and 2010 is full of promise.

The town which has been welcoming visitors for more than 360 years re-opens its outdoor theatre with more than 6,000 seats this summer to claim the title as the biggest operating open air theatre in Europe.

Welcome to Yorkshire, the county’s revamped tourist authority, is adding its support to the long established Scarborough Cricket Festival. The award winning resort has more to shout about than ever before but we want to know what you think of the town and the Yorkshire Coast, the longest stretch of shoreline in an English county.
